Charts, zones, POI, and weather cache are all stored locally. No internet required mid-lake. ### Uferzone speed zone detection Swiss shore zones (Uferzonen) have strict 10 km/h speed limits. LacNav maps every Uferzone on all 8 lakes and stores them offline. When speed exceeds the zone limit, an audible alert fires automatically. The boater does not need to watch the screen. ### Named wind alerts Swiss lakes have locally named winds that behave differently from generic forecasts.
